A proud moment as our school earns top provincial recognition for excellence in education.
On November 25, 2024 Timour Hall Primary School was honoured to receive the prestigious Gold Award at the Schools Excellence Awards (SEA), presented by the Western Cape Minister of Education, David Maynier, and Head of Education, Brent Walters. This recognition, awarded to only eight schools in the province, celebrates our ongoing commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and community spirit.
The Gold Award reflects not just a single achievement, but years of dedication by our Principal, Mrs Pickering; Deputy Principal, Mrs Pollands; our teaching staff; support team; and hardworking learners.
The ceremony brought together the very best in education across the Western Cape, acknowledging schools that excel in teaching quality, leadership, community engagement, and learner outcomes. Timour Hall’s recognition stands as proof that a united school community can achieve extraordinary results.
In his remarks, Minister Maynier praised the high standards and innovative practices evident in our classrooms, while Mr Walters commended the sense of pride and belonging that defines our school culture.
We celebrate this award not as an endpoint, but as encouragement to continue raising the bar for every child who walks through our gates. Congratulations to our entire Timour Hall Primary family — this achievement belongs to all of us!
