Timour Hall Primary School is a warm school community that empowers each student through a well-rounded experience and inspires a love of lifelong learning.
The success of our school centres on creating the optimal foundation for each student’s educational journey. Each teacher is committed to fostering a love of learning and delivering engaging academic instruction in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Our students emerge with a clearer picture of their strengths and challenges and the strategies, both academic and personal, for students to employ for life success.
The Western Cape Education Department has introduced a change in the procedure for admissions from 2020 onwards. Applications for the 2025 School Year must be made online on the WCED's website.

THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
Dear Parents,
I can confidently say that our learners have settled into the new school year and that the classrooms and passages are bustling with laughter and eagerness.
It is so lovely to see everyone settled and embracing the new school year. The sports fields are busy, and the uptake of
learner participation is encouraging. We look forward to Timour Hall representing in many different sports code matches
and upholding our school values.
Last week the School Governing Body elected new Office Bearers for 2025. Mr. Ricardo Van Nelson was elected as the chairman of our Governing Body for 2025. Thank you, Mr. Van Nelson, for your willingness to serve on our SGB and to represent
the parent body. I look forward to working with you and the rest of the SGB to continue making Timour Hall the best school
possible for our learners.
Our new building is going up quickly, however, it does bring challenges with it. Unfortunately, one of those challenges is the
prevention of parents being able to park on the school fields for events. The other challenge is the aftercare collection
through Dessie Road. Please know that I understand that neither of the above is ideal, however, we unfortunately have no
other alternative. The build is scheduled to end on the 24 March and so, hopefully, by Term 2 we should be back to normal. I
thank you in advance for your patience with us as we work to grow our school community.
We look forward to our Grade R + 1 parents joining us for a family picnic and swim on Friday evening. I encourage all parents
to use this opportunity to come and meet fellow parents who will be walking the next 7/8 years alongside you.
To all our parents, learners and staff, I hope we always remember that we are not a team because we work together with a
common goal, we are a team because we respect, trust and care for each other
